Happy Birthday Kangana Ranaut!

Bollywood hottie Kangana Ranaut has turned 22 today.

Himachali lass, who entered the Hindi film industry in 2006 with the movie ‘Gangster’, has become the spiciest and most talked about actress in the industry.

Born on March 20, 1987 in a village called Bhambla in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh, Kangana’s mother was a school teacher and her father was a businessman. She has an elder sister, Rangoli and a younger brother Akshit.

At the start, Kangana’s family lived in Shimla, and afterward they shifted to the beautiful city ‘Chandigarh’.

Before moving to Shimla, Kangana did her schooling in Chandigarh from DAV model school. She finished her high schooling in Shimla.

After that, she moved to the capital to change her dreams to reality. She came to Delhi to become a model and theatre actor.

Moreover, she also took admission in the Elite Modelling Agency located in Delhi in 2003 with the vision of becoming a super model but she failed.

Then the girl joined Asmita Theatre group in 2003-2005 as a theatre actor before shifting to Mumbai. In 2004, she came to city of dreams ‘Mumbai’ and worked hard enter film world.

However, she failed and came back to Delhi to finish her studies.

In 2004, she also joined Asha Chandra's acting school to make herself strong to confront camera. After fighting for 2 years, she met Anurag Basu in September 2005 and was chosen for ‘Gangster’.

For Gangster, Kanagana got the ‘Filmfare Best Female Debut Award’ for her superb performance.

Later, she carried her success path up with another hit ‘Woh Lamhe’.

Her recital has been apprized in the films such as Life In A Metro, Fashion and Raaz The Mystery Continues.

She has worked with many actors including Emraan Hashmi, Adhyayan Suman, Sharman Joshi and Kay Kay Menon among others.
