CBI court rejects Rajesh Talwar's bail plea

A special court in Ghaziabad today rejected the bail application of Rajesh Talwar, the main suspect in Aarushi and Hemraj murder case.
Minutes after this, his counsel Satish Tamta moved the District and Sessions court in Ghaziabad for the same, which posted the matter for hearing on June 26.
Over fifty percent Indian women justify wife bashing

Over 52 pc Indian girls and women aged 15-49 said that a husband is justified in beating his wife under some circumstances.
The data is based on household surveys conducted in 2005, and it shows a marginal change in the attitude, as a similar survey in 2000 showed that 56 per cent of Indian women justified wife bashing.
Imran Khan released from jail

Cricketer-turned-politician and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan was released from the prison on Wednesday evening, according to jail officials.
The Jail Superintendent of Dera Ismail Khan prison said this today, The News reported.
The latest development comes after reports said that Imran had gone on an indefinite hunger strike.

Dera chief Baba Ram Rahim granted regular bail by CBI court

Chief of the Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda sect, Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, was today granted regular bail by a CBI court in connection with two cases of murder and one of sexual harassment.
Special CBI Judge R K Saini, who had on Monday reserved his order after the defence concluded arguments, allowed the regular bail plea as his "prima facie involvement" in the three cases had not been established, Singh's lawyer Jasmir Singh told reporters in Ambala.
